Watch widget says Setup
It was working before, now it says Setup on the watch face small widget. Watch app itself works fine. I have done the Sync in the phone app Settings screen but no change. iPhone 16Pro, watch 7, both with latest OS. Thanks!

Hi there,
Thank you so much for using and supporting weat!
Regarding the widget showing "Setup", it usually means the background data hasn't fully transferred to the watch face complication yet. Since you've already tried tapping "Sync" in the iPhone app, could you please try one more thing for us?
When you tap "Sync" on your iPhone, do you have the weat app actively open and running on your Apple Watch screen?
Sometimes watchOS requires the watch app to be in the foreground to successfully establish the initial sync and wake up the complication.
Please give it a try while keeping the watch app open, and let us know if the widget updates successfully. Thank you again for your patience and for helping us make the app better!

I tried that, having watch app open and active while tapping sync in the phone app. This did not fix the problem. I also notice that changing location in the phone app doesn’t make the watch app change location.

Hi there,
Thank you for trying that out and getting back to me with the details!
Since the location changes aren't syncing and the widget still prompts "Setup", it is highly likely that iOS is restricting background data sharing due to location permission settings. Let's try the following steps to get it working:
1. Check Location Permissions on iPhone Please go to your iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > weat, and ensure it is set to "While Using the App or Widgets" or "Always".
Note: For watch face widgets to update reliably in the background, selecting "Always" is highly recommended.
2. How to Change Locations on the Watch Regarding the location switch, the watch app and the phone app can actually display different locations based on your preference. To change the location on your Apple Watch:
Open the weat app on your watch.
Simply tap the location name in the upper-left corner of the screen to select or switch your desired location.
Please give these steps a try and let me know if the widget springs back to life. Thank you so much for your time and patience!

OK, I figured it out. On the phone, in the Settings → Widgets screen, I didn’t realize I had to tap on of the locations below the sync button. They were dim gray and seemed disabled to me. Tapping on one solved the problem. Thanks!

That's wonderful to hear! It's great to know the issue is resolved, and thank you for the helpful feedback regarding the interface.
The visual guidance for those dim gray options will definitely be reviewed and improved to ensure a clearer experience for everyone in the future.
If any other questions or thoughts come up while using the app, please feel free to reach out anytime.
If the app has been a great experience so far, taking a moment to leave a high rating on the App Store would be greatly appreciated. Such support truly makes a huge difference! Thanks again!
